LAHORE (Dunya News) – Pakistan wicketkeeper-batter Mohammad Rizwan has sent a second letter to the National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA), seeking written details of the inquiry and the immediate return of his mobile phone.
In the letter, Rizwan said he had not yet been provided any written information about the inquiry, nor had the NCCIA contacted him regarding any further proceedings.
He said his mobile phone was taken from him in England on Aug. 31. According to Rizwan, he provided the phone’s password and allowed NCCIA officials to examine the device in his presence.
The letter stated that he had been assured that the phone would be returned within three hours and that its digital forensic examination would be completed shortly.
Rizwan said that when he appeared before the NCCIA on Sept. 10, officials again had access to his unlocked mobile phone and reviewed messages and other material on the device in his presence.
He stressed that he had never refused to provide his mobile phone password and had cooperated with the NCCIA at every stage of the inquiry.
Rizwan requested the agency to inform him in writing about the reasons for the inquiry and tell him the date and time when his presence would be required for any further proceedings.
He also urged the NCCIA to return his mobile phone without further delay, saying the device remained in the agency’s possession.
The cricketer further requested that any future communication with him be made through official channels and sent to his residential address.
