HYDERABAD (Dunya News) - Hyderabad Police has formed a special women’s unit, named the “NISA Squad,” to strengthen security and surveillance for women in public places across the city.
According to Hyderabad SSP Shahzeb Chachar, the newly formed squad comprises 50 women police officers who will patrol different areas on motorcycles. The initiative aims to improve security arrangements and increase police presence in locations frequented by women and families.
Women police personnel have already begun motorcycle patrols at various locations along Autobahn Road under the NISA Squad initiative.
The officers will monitor public places and conduct checks as part of their duties.
SSP Chachar said the squad would focus on markets, shopping areas, parks and other public locations to make security measures more effective.
The formation of the NISA Squad is intended to enhance surveillance and provide a stronger sense of security for women visiting public spaces in Hyderabad.
