TEHRAN (Web Desk) - Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian has said that Supreme Leader Ayatollah Mojtaba Khamenei is medically healthy and has fully recovered from injuries to his face and legs.
In an interview with US media, Pezeshkian said Khamenei had no specific ongoing health problems.
He said he had met the supreme leader twice, including once for more than seven hours, and described him as completely healthy.
Pezeshkian also addressed Iran’s proposal concerning the Strait of Hormuz, saying Tehran would reopen the strategic waterway and resume negotiations if the United States accepted its proposal.
He said talks would begin on the same day Washington accepted the offer.

The Iranian president said deep mistrust remained between Tehran and Washington, making a direct meeting with US President Donald Trump difficult.
He accused Washington of imposing sanctions, issuing threats and carrying out attacks against Iran, while questioning whether the US would honour commitments reached through negotiations.
Pezeshkian said Iran was prepared to allow UN nuclear inspectors into the country and that the two sides could negotiate a specific agreement on inspections.
He reiterated that Iran was not seeking to develop nuclear weapons, saying such weapons were forbidden under Iran’s religious principles.
