ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – The federal government has announced fresh petrol and diesel prices for the period from September 26 to 28, bringing mixed changes for motorists.
Petrol has become more expensive under the latest revision, while high-speed diesel has seen a reduction of several rupees per litre. The new rates will take effect from September 26.
The price of petrol has been increased by Rs2.02 per litre, taking the new rate to Rs391.30 per litre. The latest increase comes as petrol prices remain close to the Rs400-per-litre mark, adding to the cost of fuel for motorists.
Under the revised rates, the increase in petrol prices will remain applicable for the three-day period announced by the government.
In contrast, the price of high-speed diesel has been reduced by Rs3.59 per litre. Following the reduction, high-speed diesel will now be available at Rs408.53 per litre from September 26.
The cut comes despite diesel remaining above the Rs400-per-litre threshold. The revised rate will remain in force until September 28 under the latest government announcement.
