WASHINGTON (Dunya News) - US President Donald Trump made clear to Chinese President Xi Jinping during their talks at the White House that any Chinese assistance to Iran would be unacceptable, US Ambassador to China David Perdue said in an interview with a US news channel.
Perdue said Trump had conveyed the message directly to Xi, stressing that China should not provide Iran with any form of direct or indirect assistance.
“We made it very clear to them weeks ago that any help that they would give Iran, whether it be direct or indirect, whether it be intelligence or parts or military equipment, was totally unacceptable,” Perdue said.

According to the US ambassador, Trump reiterated during his meeting with Xi that Washington considered any direct or indirect military support to Iran unacceptable.
Perdue added that the United States remained concerned about possible indirect Chinese assistance to Iran.
Trump confirmed separately that Iran was among the issues discussed during his talks with Xi, saying the two leaders had spoken about the conflict.
