CHAMAN (Dunya News) – Security forces have foiled an attempted act of aggression by Afghan Taliban in the Gulistan sector along the Pakistan-Afghanistan border, killing several Taliban personnel in a timely retaliatory action, according to security sources.
Security sources said the Afghan Taliban attempted to enter Pakistani territory and carry out an act of aggression in the Gulistan sector.
The security forces responded promptly to the attempted aggression and launched an effective retaliatory action in the border area.
According to the sources, several Afghan Taliban personnel were killed during the response to the attempted aggression.
Intermittent firing between security forces and the Afghan Taliban is continuing, while Pakistani security forces remain fully alert and vigilant in the border area.
Security forces remain prepared to respond promptly and effectively to any attempt of infiltration or aggression from Afghan territory into Pakistan.
