According, Pakistan Television batter Mohammad Shahzad broke former captain Misbah-ul-Haq’s record for the fastest century in Pakistani first-class cricket, reaching three figures in just 49 balls.
Shahzad scored 114 runs off 62 balls, including 12 fours and 8 sixes. His century was the sixth of his first-class career.
Misbah had previously held the record after scoring a 56-ball century against Australia in 2014. Shahzad’s 49-ball century also ranks among the eight fastest hundreds in first-class cricket worldwide.
