ISLAMABAD (Web Desk) - The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has decided to introduce electric double-decker buses in Islamabad to provide residents and domestic and international tourists with a modern and environmentally friendly way to explore the capital.
According to the civic administration, the proposed service will connect more than 15 major recreational, historical and tourist destinations across the city.
The planned route will include popular attractions such as Lake View Park, Shakarparian, Pakistan Monument, Faisal Mosque, Daman-e-Koh and D-Chowk.
The double-decker bus service is expected to offer residents and visitors a new way to enjoy Islamabad's scenic landscapes and tourist attractions while travelling through the capital.
Each electric double-decker bus will have a capacity of 90 passengers and will be equipped with modern facilities.
The CDA said providing improved and modern services to residents and tourists remains a key priority. The authority aims to promote Islamabad as a more attractive and tourism-friendly capital.
The proposed electric bus service is also expected to provide an environmentally friendly transport option while offering visitors a distinctive sightseeing experience.
