PESHAWAR (Dunya News) – Security forces conducted an intelligence-based operation in North Waziristan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, killing eight terrorists.
Sources said security personnel carried out an effective operation against militant positions, completely destroying their hideouts.
A large quantity of weapons, ammunition and other equipment was also recovered from the militants, according to the sources.
The sources further claimed that the militants attempted to use a mosque as a shield to evade the security forces.
According to the security sources, the forces took the sanctity of the mosque into consideration and carried out the operation with precision.
A day earlier, security forces killed two terrorists during an intelligence-based operation in Turbat district of Balochistan under Operation Radd-ul-Fasaad 3, according to security sources.
The operation was carried out in the Jausak area of Turbat after security forces received information about the presence of militants in the area.
According to the sources, an exchange of fire took place between security forces and members of Fitna al-Hindustan, resulting in the killing of two militants.
