RAWALPINDI (Dunya News) - PTI founder Imran Khan's associates are scheduled to meet him, with a list of six individuals submitted to jail authorities by Chaudhry Owais Younis.
The list includes Ghulam Farooq Awan, Sohail Gardizi, Ziaullah Khan, Ubaid Kazmi, Farzana Safeer and Asma Raja.
Also, two sisters of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf founder Imran Khan, Uzma Khan and Noreen Niazi, have been detained for 30 days under Section 3 of the Maintenance of Public Order (MPO) on the orders of the Lahore deputy commissioner.
The detention was carried out on a police recommendation amid concerns over a possible threat to public order.
Sources said police detained Uzma and Noreen, along with their nephews, from the residence of their sister Aleema Khan. They were reportedly transferred in an armoured vehicle.
The detentions come as the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) prepares for nationwide demonstrations, including a planned march towards Islamabad on September 27. The party is seeking the release of Imran Khan and calling for the supremacy of the Constitution.
Earlier, sources said Aleema Khan’s two sons, Shahrez Khan and Sher Shah, had also been detained in Lahore.
