Counter-terrorism training
The exercises will continue for two weeks and include training focused on counter-terrorism drills, procedures and operational techniques.
According to ISPR, the participating forces will exchange operational experiences and best practices during the joint training. The exercises are also intended to improve the combat capabilities and tactical skills of the participating troops through coordinated training activities.
The military exercises will provide an opportunity for the participating forces to strengthen interoperability and develop more effective coordination and communication capabilities.
ISPR said the Pakistan-Russia and Pakistan-Oman exercises will also contribute to further strengthening bilateral defence cooperation.
The joint drills form part of efforts to enhance mutual cooperation between the participating armed forces while sharing experience and approaches to counter-terrorism operations.
