Pakistan stocks close higher after volatile trading session

The Pakistan Stock Exchange closed in positive territory on Tuesday, with the benchmark 100 Index gaining 248 points after fluctuating during the session.

KARACHI (Dunya News) – Trading at the Pakistan Stock Exchange remained volatile on Tuesday, but the benchmark 100 Index ultimately closed in positive territory.

The market opened on a positive note during the second trading session of the week, with the 100 Index rising by more than 400 points to cross the 171,600-point level.

The market witnessed fluctuations during the session before the benchmark index closed at 171,402 points, registering a gain of 248 points.

Shares worth Rs9.17 billion were traded during the session, with 123.44 million shares changing hands.

On the previous trading day, the Pakistan Stock Exchange's 100 Index had closed at 171,153 points.
