ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – The National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA) has taken action against an illegal call centre in Islamabad, detaining 100 people during the operation.
According to an NCCIA spokesperson, 17 foreign nationals were among those taken into custody during the raid.
he spokesperson said evidence related to an unethical application was found at the call centre. Investigators also recovered evidence concerning financial schemes linked to India and Brazil.
Following the operation, the call centre was sealed, while all data and gadgets found at the premises were taken into custody, according to the NCCIA.
The NCCIA spokesperson said action against illegal call centres is continuing across the country.
The agency said its operations are aimed at taking action against illegal call centre activities and securing relevant data and electronic equipment found during such operations.
