Pakistan Stock Exchange ended Thursday higher as the benchmark KSE-100 Index gained 1,021 points to close at 169,043 amid positive trading sentiment.

KARACHI (Dunya News) -The Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) maintained a positive trajectory on Thursday, with the benchmark KSE-100 Index gaining more than 1,000 points by the close of trading.

The market opened in positive territory on the fourth trading day of the week and continued to show strength during the session.

The KSE-100 Index climbed more than 1,100 points at one stage as buying activity helped sustain the upward momentum.

By the end of the session, the benchmark index had gained 1,021 points, closing at 169,043 points.

The index had finished the previous trading session at 168,021 points, meaning Thursday's advance represented a gain of roughly 0.61 per cent.

The improvement reflected positive trading sentiment during the session, although daily movements in the stock market can be influenced by a range of domestic and international economic factors.

Investors continue to closely follow developments related to interest rates, inflation, corporate earnings, the rupee, energy prices and the broader economic outlook, which can influence market direction.

Thursday's performance added to the PSX's recent market activity, with the KSE-100 remaining a key indicator of investor sentiment toward Pakistan's listed corporate sector.

Market participants will now be watching whether the positive momentum continues in the final trading session of the week.
