China's Huawei to launch two new AI chips in 2027

Huawei plans to launch the 960DT in the first quarter and the Ascend 960PR in the third quarter

SHANGHAI (Reuters) - Huawei Technologies will launch two new artificial-intelligence chips in 2027, rotating chairman David Wang said on Thursday, as the Chinese company expands its push into ⁠AI computing.

Huawei plans to launch the 960DT in the first quarter and the Ascend 960PR in the third quarter.

Wang said its UnifiedBus technology would be key ⁠to Huawei's next generation of large AI computing systems, helping connect large numbers of ⁠chips to work together. He added that Huawei had shipped ⁠more than 1,000 such systems to more ⁠than 370 customers.
