LAHORE (Dunya News) - Light to moderate rain was reported in different parts of the City on Wednesday night, bringing a noticeable change in weather and disrupting power supply, which sent many localities into darkness.
Low-lying areas came under water and roads were submerged, causing traffic jams and long lines of vehicles on roads.
As usual, Lesco feeders tripped the moment the rain started, exposing fragmented power supply system.
Rain was recorded in the areas surrounding Abbot Road, Laxmi Chowk and Garhi Shahu, Naulakha Bazar, Taj Pura, Gujjarpura, Chungi Amar Sidhu, Ferozepur Road, Kahna and their adjoining areas.
Heavy rainfall was also reported in Band Road, Gulshan Ravi and Samanabad. Rain was also observed around Allama Iqbal Town, Mall Road and Jail Road.
The rainfall was accompanied by cool and gusty winds, making the weather pleasant across the provincial capital. The change in weather brought a refreshing atmosphere to the city as dark clouds covered parts of Lahore.
Residents in various areas experienced a significant drop in temperature following the rainfall, while the cool breeze added to the pleasant conditions.
The rain, varying in intensity from light showers to heavy spells, affected several localities across Lahore, marking a noticeable shift in the city's weather and providing much-needed relief from warmer conditions.
