ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - Booking of 11,600 pilgrims under Pakistan’s private Hajj scheme has been completed through the official Hajj Portal, while 60,000 seats are still available, the Ministry of Religious Affairs said on Wednesday.

According to a ministry spokesperson, registered Hajj organizers are offering economy, standard and premium packages through the portal.

The spokesperson said Rs10 billion had been received in dues in the accounts of 25 Hajj organizers, while more than Rs4 billion had been deposited online through the Hajj Portal developed by the National Information Technology Board (NITB).

The Ministry of Religious Affairs has advised intending pilgrims to make Hajj payments only through the official Pak Hajj App or Hajj Portal.

It warned pilgrims against directly depositing money with unauthorized individuals or companies, stressing the use of official channels for all Hajj-related payments.

The ministry spokesperson said booking under the private Hajj scheme would continue until November 20, subject to the availability of seats.
