TEHRAN (Web Desk) - Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has claimed to have shot down another US-made MQ-1 drone in the eastern airspace of the Strait of Hormuz.
According to the semi-official Mehr News Agency, the IRGC said the incident was the second of its kind since Tuesday morning.
The Iranian claim brings the number of MQ-1 drones reportedly downed by Iranian forces during operations in and around the Strait of Hormuz in recent days to four.
According to the report, MQ-1 drones are primarily used for surveillance and reconnaissance missions.
