KARACHI (Dunya News) — Several parts of Pakistan received rainfall on Tuesday, with heavy showers reported in different areas of Karachi and other cities.
Karachi witnessed downpours in several localities, while Hyderabad and other parts of Sindh also received significant rainfall.
Thunderstorms accompanied by rain were reported in Kharian, Lalamusa and Wazirabad, while several areas of Peshawar experienced heavy showers that brought relief from the prevailing weather conditions.
Parts of Azad Jammu and Kashmir also received intermittent rain.
Meanwhile, the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) has forecast more heavy rainfall across various parts of the country and issued a weather alert until September 17.
According to the forecast, several districts of Punjab and upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa are expected to receive heavy showers during the period.
The anticipated rainfall may cause water accumulation in low-lying areas and trigger flooding in rivers, streams and seasonal waterways.
Authorities have advised relevant departments to remain alert and take precautionary measures to deal with possible weather-related incidents.
