ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - The federal government has announced another increase in the prices of petroleum products, raising the cost of petrol and diesel for consumers across the country.
According to a notification issued by the Petroleum Division, the price of petrol has been increased by Rs4.42 per litre, while diesel has become Rs6.10 per litre more expensive.
Following the latest increase, the new price of petrol has been set at Rs380.24 per litre, while diesel will now cost Rs409.42 per litre.
The Petroleum Division notification said the revised prices will take effect from September 15, 2026, and will remain in force for one day.

The latest adjustment is expected to add further pressure on household budgets at a time when consumers are already facing rising living costs.
The people have expressed concern over the increase, saying higher fuel prices will make everyday expenses more difficult to manage.
Several citizens said the rising cost of living had already made it increasingly difficult for families to meet their daily needs.
They warned that another increase in petrol prices could push up transportation costs and make goods and services more expensive.
