ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - Leaders of the National Dialogue Committee have said that the creation of new provinces and administrative units is the need of the hour.
Speaking to the media, former federal minister and National Dialogue Committee leader Fawad Chaudhry said public issues were not being resolved under the existing administrative structure.
He said citizens remained deprived of basic facilities such as jobs, healthcare, education and clean drinking water.
Fawad said the public was struggling under the burden of inflation and other challenges, adding that the country needed better governance, an effective administrative structure and equitable distribution of resources.
The former federal minister said the proposal for creating new provinces should be discussed with seriousness and an open mind.
He stressed that changes to the administrative structure should be considered in view of the need to improve governance and ensure better delivery of public services.
