SAHIWAL (Dunya News) - Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has announced that 14 more electric buses will soon be provided in Sahiwal to improve public transport facilities.
Maryam Nawaz met members of the Punjab Assembly from Sahiwal to discuss ongoing development projects and matters related to public facilities in the city.
The meeting was attended by Wilayat Shah, Qasim Nadeem, Arshad Malik, Nadeem Aslam Lodhi, Rana Riaz Ahmed and Muhammad Hanif. The chief minister directed the lawmakers to closely monitor the quality and transparency of ongoing development projects in Sahiwal.
The lawmakers described the beautification of Sahiwal as an impressive and historic initiative and appreciated development projects being carried out in cities and villages under the Punjab Development Project.

They also thanked the chief minister for launching 10 state-of-the-art Nawaz Sharif Schools of Eminence in Sahiwal Division and appreciated sewage and drainage projects in Sahiwal and other cities.
The lawmakers said that, for the first time, greater attention was being given to resolving people’s genuine problems. They said ongoing projects, including the Arifwala Bypass, Yousafwala, Noor Shah, KFC Bypass, General Bus Stand-to-Kamir route, Adda Sabeel and Bala Mor electric bus routes, were providing facilities to thousands of people.
Maryam Nawaz said development projects had been expanded beyond major cities to the village level. She said the Nawaz Sharif Schools of Eminence would provide children from poor and affluent families with equal opportunities for progress.
She added that the standard of the Nawaz Sharif Schools of Eminence would be no less than that of any leading private school.
