RAWALPINDI (Dunya News) - Security forces have foiled an attack on the protection squad of the Deputy Commissioner of Tump in Balochistan’s Makran Division, security sources said on Friday.
According to the sources, Fitna al-Hindustan millitants targeted the vehicle of the Tump deputy commissioner in an attempt to abduct members of his protection squad.
Security forces responded promptly and effectively, thwarting the attack and frustrating the militants’ plans, the sources said.
All personnel of the deputy commissioner’s protection squad were safely rescued from the attack, according to security sources.
The militants fled the scene after abandoning their vehicle and weapons following the security forces’ operation.
Sources further said that several attackers were also reported to have been wounded during the retaliatory action.
