CHINIOT (Dunya News) – Two suspected dacoits were killed while another was injured during an exchange of fire with Crime Control Department (CCD) Police on Jamrah Road here on Thursday.
According to police officials, the deceased suspects were identified as Yaqoob and Shehzad. The CCD said the suspects were allegedly involved in dozens of criminal cases, including robbery and other serious offences.
The injured suspect was taken into custody and shifted to a nearby hospital for medical treatment.
Police officials said two other suspected accomplices managed to escape from the scene during the encounter. A manhunt has been launched to arrest the fleeing suspects, while further investigation is underway.
During the operation, police recovered weapons and valuables from the deceased suspects.
Officials said efforts were continuing to trace the escaped accomplices and determine their involvement in other criminal activities. Further details are expected as the investigation progresses.
