ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has strongly condemned Houthi attacks targeting civilian and energy facilities in Saudi Arabia, with 73 people reportedly injured across several cities.
The attacks, carried out by Yemen’s Houthi group Ansar Allah, targeted areas including Abha, Khamis Mushait, Najran and Jazan. Women and children were among those wounded in the strikes.
In a post on social media platform X, Shehbaz Sharif described the attacks as cowardly and dastardly, saying such actions posed a direct threat to innocent lives as well as regional peace and security.

He said Pakistan remained steadfast in its support for the Kingdom’s sovereignty, security and territorial integrity.
The attacks came as Houthi forces targeted several Saudi locations, with civilian and economic facilities among the sites affected. The reported injuries included women and children, adding to the impact of the strikes on populated areas.
Shehbaz Sharif said attacks of this nature threatened not only the safety of innocent people but also regional peace and security. He reiterated Pakistan’s solidarity with the Saudi people, describing them as a brotherly nation, while reaffirming Islamabad’s continued support for the Kingdom in protecting its sovereignty and security.
The prime minister also offered prayers for the swift recovery of all those injured in the attacks.
