LAHORE (Dunya News) - Pakistani martial arts athlete Fatima Naseem has added two more achievements to her name, including breaking an Indian athlete’s record by delivering 340 punches in one minute while holding eggs in her hands without breaking them.
The latest achievements have taken Fatima’s tally to 10 Guinness World Records, making her the first Pakistani woman athlete to achieve 10 world records, according to details released about her performance.
In the punching challenge, Fatima held eggs in her hands and delivered 340 punches within 60 seconds while keeping the eggs intact. Guinness World Records has recognised the achievement.
The previous record was held by Indian athlete Dibyajyoti Sarkar, who had completed 331 punches in one minute. Fatima surpassed the mark by nine punches.
Fatima also secured another world record in the stretching category, maintaining her balance between two chairs for one minute and 45 seconds. The previous record stood at one minute and 30 seconds.
The achievement became the 10th Guinness World Record of her career.
Fatima has previously broken a record held by renowned flexible athlete Liberty Barros, who has demonstrated her flexibility skills on prominent Got Talent programmes in Britain, the United States and Spain.
The Pakistani athlete has also surpassed achievements associated with German martial arts athlete Paulina Glebova and Indian martial artist Kiran Uniyal.
World records are also a family achievement for Fatima. Her father, mother, grandfather and brother have also secured Guinness World Records.
According to the available details, members of the family have collectively achieved more than 180 world records for Pakistan, establishing a distinctive record-making tradition in the family.
