(Web Desk) - Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) MPA Saqib Chadhar has made several allegations against actress Momina Iqbal and her sister Ramsha Iqbal amid an ongoing legal dispute between the two sides.
The controversy began several months ago when Momina Iqbal claimed in an Instagram post that she was allegedly being harassed by a provincial lawmaker. Chadhar's name subsequently emerged in connection with the allegations.
Momina approached the National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA) over the matter, while Chadhar also presented his position before the authorities.
In his first detailed interview on the issue, Chadhar made a number of claims concerning the actress and her sister.
Speaking about Ramsha Iqbal, Chadhar claimed that he had helped her travel to Australia for higher education and later provided her with employment at his security company.
He further alleged that Ramsha filed a harassment case in Australia against his business partner and sought $1 million in damages. According to Chadhar, the dispute was eventually settled for $165,000, which he claimed Ramsha later brought to Pakistan.
Chadhar alleged that the sisters subsequently attempted to adopt a similar approach against him.
He also made claims about Momina's personal life, alleging that she knew he was already married but was nevertheless willing to become his second wife.
Chadhar said he was initially unaware of Momina's reported marriage in 2018 and subsequent divorce, but later learned about the marriage and also came to know about her former husband.
The PML-N lawmaker further claimed that Momina's lawyer contacted him and demanded Rs200 million to settle the matter.
According to Chadhar, after he refused to pay the amount, a proposal of Rs90 million was made, while he claimed Momina wanted the matter settled for Rs110 million.
Chadhar said he had presented evidence of his meeting with Momina's lawyer, along with an alleged settlement agreement, in support of his claims.
