KARACHI (Dunya News) - The Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) witnessed a negative trend during the outgoing trading week, with the benchmark KSE-100 index losing 2,367 points to close at 175,328.
The benchmark index remained volatile throughout the week, moving within a range of 3,623 points. It touched a weekly high of 178,138 points and fell to a low of 174,515 points.
Trading activity also remained significant during the week, with around 3.8 billion shares changing hands in transactions valued at Rs166 billion.
The market’s total capitalisation declined by Rs256 billion over the week, falling to Rs19,629 billion.
The weekly performance reflected continued pressure on the stock market, with the benchmark index ending the week considerably below its opening levels.
