AJK cabinet takes oath in Muzaffarabad

Eight-member AJK cabinet takes oath in Muzaffarabad, with Acting President Chaudhry Tariq Farooq administering the oath during ceremony.

MUZAFFARABAD (Dunya News) - The eight-member cabinet of Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) has taken oath, with Acting President Chaudhry Tariq Farooq administering the oath to the newly appointed ministers.

The oath-taking ceremony was held at the President’s House and was attended by AJK Prime Minister Iftikhar Gilani.

The cabinet members who took oath include Waqar Noor, Azhar Sadiq, Saqib Majeed Raja, Mustafa Bashir, Raja Riyasat, Umair Naeem, Abdul Rehman Arain and Sardar Mir Akbar.

Former AJK Prime Minister Farooq Haider, PML-N AJK President Shah Ghulam Qadir, members of the Legislative Assembly and senior bureaucrats also attended the ceremony.
