Updated on:

Pakistan Stock Exchange ended Thursday in positive territory, with the KSE-100 Index gaining 153 points to close at 174,929 after rising more than 900 points earlier.

KARACHI (Dunya News) - The Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) witnessed positive trading on Thursday, with the benchmark KSE-100 Index gaining 153 points by the close of the session.

Trading began on a strong note, with the index surging by more than 900 points to reach 175,796 points during the fourth trading session of the week.

The bullish momentum continued during trading, although some of the early gains were erased towards the close.

At the end of the session, the KSE-100 Index settled at 174,929 points, up 153 points from the previous close.

The recovery came a day after the stock market witnessed heavy selling pressure. On Wednesday, the benchmark index had plunged 1,690 points to close at 174,776.

Thursday's positive close therefore provided some respite to investors following the previous session's sharp decline.
