AJK PM vows to address people's grievances on priority

Says he will present development agenda before people in next few days MUZAFFARABAD (Dunya News) - Prime Minister of Azad Kashmir Iftikhar Gilani has said that he will put the development agenda before people in the next few days.

Speaking on Dunya News programme ‘TONIGHT with Samar Abbas', he said, "I salute the courage and determination of the people of occupied Kashmir.

Kashmiris have bravely continued their freedom movement while all of India's tactics have failed."

He said PML-N government will bring improvements in Azad Kashmir and will make every effort to live up to the trust of the people.

The AJK PM said that the government in Azad Kashmir will work together and win the hearts of the people.

Internet service will be restored in Azad Kashmir soon, while alleviating the problems of the people is the government's top priority.

Iftikhar Gilani said that the meeting with Nawaz Sharif was held regarding the situation in Azad Kashmir.

Nawaz Sharif is fully aware of all the problems and issues of Azad Kashmir. The decision to make him the Prime Minister was also made by Quaid Nawaz Sharif, for which he is grateful to him, he added.

Special attention will be paid to the Kashmir issue, governance and development, and a comprehensive plan will be presented for improvement in these sectors. He said that the previous government did not pay attention to the problems and issues of the people, however, the current government will take steps to resolve the problems of the people.

Iftikhar Gilani said that the government will make efforts to advance skilled development and provide decent employment opportunities to the youth. He also appealed to the action committee to end the sit-in.

He clarified that no decision has been taken yet regarding the President of Azad Kashmir. The government will work to bring significant improvements in the areas of governance and development in Azad Kashmir, along with the Kashmir issue.
