Pakistan, Turkiye and Saudi Arabia united for collective defence: PM Shehbaz

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said Pakistan, Turkiye and Saudi Arabia are united for shared security and collective defence, pledging to further strengthen Pakistan-Turkiye strategic ties.

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has said Pakistan, Turkiye and Saudi Arabia are united for shared security and collective defence, reaffirming Pakistan’s commitment to further strengthen its strategic partnership with Turkiye.

In a message congratulating President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, the Turkish government and people on Victory Day, the prime minister said August 30 commemorated the historic victory achieved under the leadership of Ghazi Mustafa Kemal Ataturk.

Shehbaz Sharif said Pakistan paid tribute to the Turkish people for their proud legacy of courage and national determination.

He said Pakistan-Turkiye relations were ties of hearts, strengthened by centuries of shared faith, history and struggle. He added that Pakistan, Turkiye and Saudi Arabia stood united for shared security and collective defence.

The prime minister said the joint defence agreement signed in Makkah was a manifestation of the Pakistan-Turkiye strategic partnership.

He reaffirmed Pakistan’s resolve to further strengthen its strategic partnership with Turkiye, saying cooperation between the two countries would be deepened across all fields.

Shehbaz Sharif said shared prosperity and security of Pakistan and Turkiye remained a common commitment.

He expressed hope that the bond of friendship and brotherhood between Pakistan and Turkiye would continue to grow stronger from generation to generation.
