ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) — A high-level inspection team is expected to visit Islamabad's Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) on Saturday following a recent tragedy at the hospital, according to an administrative order.
The PIMS administration has cancelled the leaves of heads of all clinical and non-clinical departments and directed them to ensure their presence at the hospital on August 29, the order said.
The Executive Director of PIMS issued the instructions, directing department heads to ensure the timely attendance of relevant staff during the inspection.
Officials have also been ordered to keep all relevant records and information complete and readily available for the visiting team.
The inspection team is expected to conduct a detailed review of clinical and non-clinical departments and receive briefings from relevant officials on various issues, according to the order.
PIMS authorities have instructed officers and department heads to cooperate fully with the inspection and be prepared to provide requested records and information immediately.
The administration did not provide further details about the composition of the inspection team.
