Saudi minister meets Field Marshal Asim Munir, reaffirms push for closer bilateral ties

Saudi Environment Minister Abdulrahman AlFadley met Field Marshal Asim Munir at GHQ to discuss bilateral ties, agriculture and environmental cooperation.

RAWALPINDI (Dunya News) – Saudi Arabia’s Minister of Environment, Water and Agriculture, Eng. Abdulrahman Abdulmohsen AlFadley, called on Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defence Forces (COAS & CDF), at General Headquarters (GHQ) in Rawalpindi on Friday.

During the meeting, the two sides discussed matters of mutual interest and reaffirmed the close and longstanding ties between Pakistan and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Field Marshal Asim Munir highlighted the deep-rooted brotherly relations between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia and reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to further strengthening the longstanding strategic partnership between the two countries.

The meeting underscored the importance both sides attach to their close bilateral relationship, with the two countries continuing to maintain strong cooperation across a range of areas.

The Saudi minister appreciated Pakistan’s positive role in promoting regional peace and stability. He also expressed his desire to further enhance cooperation between the two brotherly countries, particularly in agriculture and environmental sustainability.

Agriculture and environmental sustainability are key areas where greater collaboration could support shared priorities, including sustainable resource management and development.

The discussions reflected the broader commitment of Pakistan and Saudi Arabia to expanding cooperation while building on their longstanding strategic partnership.
