KARACHI (Dunya News) – The judicial commission has begun proceedings into the Mir Raza case, with commission head Justice Umar Sial presiding over the hearing and assuring the bereaved family that the matter will be thoroughly examined.
Mir Raza’s lawyer and parents appeared before the judicial commission. Speaking on the occasion, Justice Umar Sial said it was his first judicial commission and expressed his condolences to the affected family. He said he would try to help ease the pain of Mir Raza’s parents.
Justice Umar Sial said the commission would make efforts to provide answers to all the questions raised by the family. He said the commission would examine the surgeon’s role, the investigation, evidence related to the case and other relevant details.
He urged the family to place their trust in the commission, adding that, in his opinion, the commission should be made public. He also said the investigation team was working on the matter.
Speaking before the commission, Mir Raza’s father said 29 days had passed but no progress appeared to have been made in the case.
Justice Umar Sial recalled that a commission had also been formed in the Murtaza Bhutto murder case. He said the case was not only about Mir Raza, but also about every person seeking justice.
