PESHAWAR (Dunya News) – Four suspected terrorists of Fitna al-Khawarij and Fitna al-Hindustan were killed in an intelligence-based operation (IBO) conducted by Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) here on Thursday.
CTD Peshawar Region killed four terrorists in an intelligence-based operation carried out in Mehr Gul Kalay Cemetery, Mirakchori.
According to the CTD, three Kalashnikovs, a pistol, a hand grenade, seven magazines and several cartridges were recovered from the possession of the slain terrorists during the operation.
One of the slain terrorists was identified as Syed Wali, son of Abdul Ghani, a resident of Nangarhar, Afghanistan, and an Afghan refugee card was also recovered from his possession, the CTD said.
Suspect Syed Wali was likely among the three suicide bombers who had previously entered Pakistan from Afghanistan to carry out terrorist attacks. Investigations were underway.
CTD said a search operation is underway in the area to arrest other alleged terrorists who escaped during the operation.
