Sindh governor praises govt for ensuring fuel supply despite crisis

KARACHI (Dunya News) - Minister for Petroleum Ali Pervez Malik and Railway Minister Hanif Abbasi met Sindh Governor Nehal Hashmi here on Thursday.

The Sindh governor appreciated the government for ensuring uninterrupted supply of petroleum products in the country, despite difficult circumstances and energy crisis.

The steps taken by Federal Minister for Petroleum Ali Pervaiz Malik to ensure the supply of petroleum products are commendable, the governor said.

Federal Minister for Petroleum Ali Pervez Malik said that all stakeholders fully cooperated with the Ministry of Petroleum to ensure the supply of petroleum products in difficult circumstances.

The Federal Minister for Railways said that the construction of a 480-kilometre railway track from Karachi to Rohri will begin next year.

Pakistan Railways will soon start transporting fuel, automobiles, minerals and LPG, the minister added.

Hanif Abbas said 11,000 tons of coal are being transported daily from Thar to the main grid through Pakistan Railways.
