RAWALPINDI (Dunya News) - A high-level Kuwaiti delegation led by Kuwaiti Defense Minister Sheikh Abdullah Ali Abdullah Al-Salem Al-Sabah met Defense Minister Khawaja Asif at the Ministry of Defense in Rawalpindi.
Kuwaiti Armed Forces Chief of General Staff Lieutenant General Khaled Daraj Saad Al-Sharihan also accompanied the delegation.
The meeting focused on matters of mutual interest, with particular emphasis on strengthening bilateral defense relations, security cooperation and military ties between Pakistan and Kuwait.
Pakistan and Kuwait also signed the “Protocol Agreement 2026,” which will expand and reinforce the existing framework of military cooperation established under the “Defense Cooperation Agreement 2023.”

Under the new agreement, the Pakistan Armed Forces will provide assistance to the Kuwaiti Armed Forces in various areas, including training, capacity building, border management and other fields of defense cooperation.
According to the Ministry of Defense, the agreement reflects the deep trust, mutual respect and shared strategic interests between the two brotherly countries.
Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to further strengthening their security partnership and cooperation for peace and stability in the region.
