KARACHI (Dunya News) - The Board of Intermediate Education Karachi has announced the results of the 2026 annual examinations for Class 12 General Science Group.
Inter Board Karachi Chairman Faqir Muhammad Lakho announced the results, with Jannat Bint Ali Dost of Concordia College Gulshan-e-Hadeed Campus securing first position.
Jannat obtained 1,005 marks out of 1,100 and secured an A1 grade.
Hamza Shakeel, son of Shakeel Ahmed, of Adamjee Government Science College secured second position with 1,003 marks and an A1 grade.
Laiba Zulfiqar, daughter of Zulfiqar Ali, of Bahria College MT Khan Road stood third with 989 marks and also secured an A1 grade.
Chairman Faqir Muhammad Lakho praised Adamjee Government Science College for its students’ strong performance in this year’s examinations.
He noted that after securing the first, second and third positions in Pre-Engineering, the college also secured second position in the General Science Group.
Lakho attributed the students’ performance to the hard work and guidance of their teachers and principal.
He said the strong performance of students from government educational institutions in the intermediate examinations showed that the standard of education in Sindh was improving.
According to Controller of Examinations Zareena Rashid, a total of 18,913 candidates had registered for the General Science examinations, while 18,591 appeared.
Of those who appeared, 10,511 candidates were declared successful, resulting in an overall pass percentage of 56.54%.
The results showed that 748 candidates secured an A1 grade, 2,193 obtained an A grade, 3,184 secured a B grade, 3,076 received a C grade, 1,280 obtained a D grade and 20 candidates passed with an E grade
