ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - President Asif Ali Zardari held a farewell meeting with Saudi Ambassador to Pakistan Nawaf bin Saeed Al-Malki at the Aiwan-e-Sadr, with the envoy expressing gratitude for the warmth and support extended to him by the Pakistani people during his tenure.
President Zardari appreciated Ambassador Al-Malki’s efforts to strengthen the longstanding brotherly and strategic relations between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia.
The president praised the ambassador’s dedicated services during his tenure in Pakistan, as well as his friendship, warmth and spirit of cooperation towards the country.
He said Al-Malki had played an important role in promoting bilateral relations, particularly in the political, economic and trade spheres.
President Zardari said Pakistan attached great importance to its time-tested friendship and strategic partnership with Saudi Arabia and highly valued the Kingdom’s continued support for Pakistan.
He expressed confidence that the strong foundation laid for bilateral relations during Ambassador Al-Malki’s tenure would continue to guide and strengthen mutual cooperation in the years ahead.
Nawaf bin Saeed Al-Malki, who has served as Saudi Arabia’s ambassador to Pakistan since 2017, thanked President Zardari, the government of Pakistan and the Pakistani people for the affection, warmth and cooperation extended to him during his stay in the country.
He said he would always hold Pakistan and its people in high regard.
President Zardari conveyed his best wishes to Ambassador Al-Malki for his future endeavors and success, saying Pakistan would always remain his second home.
