LONDON (Dunya News) - Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Ishaq Dar arrived in London on an official visit, with talks expected to focus on Pakistan-UK bilateral relations and other issues of mutual interest.

According to the Foreign Office spokesperson, Pakistan’s High Commissioner received Dar upon his arrival in the British capital.

During his stay in London, the deputy prime minister is expected to meet the UK foreign secretary as part of diplomatic engagements aimed at reviewing relations between Pakistan and the United Kingdom.

The expected meeting will cover bilateral ties as well as matters of mutual interest, according to the information released regarding the visit.

Dar’s London visit comes as Pakistan continues diplomatic engagement with key international partners on economic, political and regional issues.

Pakistan and the United Kingdom maintain longstanding relations covering trade, investment, education, development cooperation and people-to-people contacts.

The large Pakistani diaspora in Britain also remains an important pillar of relations between the two countries, contributing to economic and social links.

The expected discussions provide Islamabad and London an opportunity to review their bilateral relationship and explore areas where cooperation can be strengthened.

As both deputy prime minister and foreign minister, Dar has played a central role in Pakistan’s diplomatic engagements with foreign governments and international organisations.
