LAHORE (Dunya News) - Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Sunday held a detailed meeting with Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) President Nawaz Sharif in Lahore over the evolving political situation.

The sources said the two-hour meeting primarily focused on the Supreme Court’s decision regarding the transfer of PTI founder Imran Khan to a hospital.

According to the sources, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif briefed Nawaz Sharif on the reasons for having Imran Khan undergo a medical check-up at the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) rather than Shifa International Hospital.

The meeting also included consultations on political strategy and available legal options.

Both the leaders discussed the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s (PTI) potential contempt of court petition, as well as the government’s possible legal response.

Nawaz Sharif, according to the sources, emphasized that Pakistan could not afford to face another political or constitutional crisis.
