ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has filed a contempt of court petition in the Supreme Court over the alleged violation of a judicial order concerning the transfer of party founder Imran Khan to a hospital.
The petition seeks initiation of contempt proceedings over the alleged violation of the Supreme Court’s August 18, 2026 order regarding Imran Khan’s hospital transfer.
PTI has requested the Supreme Court to issue show-cause notices to the respondents and those accused of contempt, and to direct them to appear before the court in person.

The party has also asked the court to declare the respondents guilty of contempt of court and punish them in accordance with the law.
The petition further seeks the immediate transfer of Imran Khan to Shifa International Hospital in Islamabad and his medical examination there.
PTI has also requested the appointment of a judicial officer or a local commission to ensure implementation of the court’s order.
The contempt petition was filed by Uzair Bhandari and Salman Akram Raja on behalf of PTI.
The Supreme Court has already adjourned the hearing of the case related to the matter until September 16.
