LAHORE (Dunya News) - A theft case involving government medicines and medical supplies worth Rs260,000 has emerged from the emergency department of Lahore General Hospital.
Hospital authorities took action and handed suspect Mubashir Iqbal over to police. The stolen items recovered from his possession included antibiotics, stomach injections, surgical gloves, branulas, CVP lines and other government medical supplies.
During interrogation, Mubashir Iqbal allegedly blamed dispenser Mian Hamid Nadeem, claiming that the dispenser would call him to collect medicines.
Hospital authorities said further investigation into the incident is underway. Lahore General Hospital Medical Superintendent Dr. Farhad Hussain said a case was being registered against the person allegedly involved in the theft and that a comprehensive investigation would be conducted.
