Pakistan, Russia agree to maintain cooperation and high-level contacts

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - Pakistan and Russia have agreed to maintain cooperation in key areas and continue high-level contacts to further strengthen bilateral relations, while stressing diplomacy and dialogue for regional peace and stability.

Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar held a meeting with Russian Ambassador Albert Khorev on Tuesday, during which the two sides reviewed progress in Pakistan-Russia bilateral relations.

Dar appreciated the positive momentum and growing progress in ties between the two countries and emphasised the importance of expanding cooperation in key sectors.

He also stressed the need for continued high-level engagements and meetings to further consolidate bilateral relations.

During the meeting, the deputy prime minister reiterated Pakistan’s longstanding position that dialogue and diplomacy remain the only viable means of resolving disputes, addressing differences and promoting sustainable peace and stability in the region.
