Implementation of Islamabad MoU only war forward, Dar tells US envoy amid Iran tension

Dar said implementing the June 18 Islamabad MoU in letter and spirit is the only way to ease regional tensions, stressing dialogue and diplomacy.

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar He emphasized that the implementation of the Islamabad MoU signed on 18 June this year in letter and spirit is the only way forward to settle the ongoing regional tensions.

He stated this when the US Chargé d’Affaires Natalie A. Baker called on him on Friday.

Discussions centered on Pakistan-US bilateral cooperation and recent regional developments.

DPM Darappreciated the positive trajectory in Pakistan-U.S. relations and underscored the importance of dialogue and diplomacy for lasting peace.

He reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to regional peace and security while safeguarding its national interests.

The US Chargé appreciated Pakistan’s constructive role in promoting regional peace and stability and conveyed felicitations to the DPM/FM on Pakistan’s Independence Day.
