KARACHI (Dunya News) –Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah has said Sindh played a frontline role in the creation of Pakistan and will continue to do so, stressing the need for unity and adherence to the principles of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah.
Speaking to the media at Mazar-e-Quaid in Karachi, Murad Ali Shah said he had visited the mausoleum along with the governor and cabinet members and offered prayers for Pakistan’s development.
The Sindh chief minister said Sindh had presented a resolution at Eidgah Maidan on October 10, 1938, and another resolution was presented after the creation of Pakistan. He urged people to follow the principles of Quaid-e-Azam and remain united.
He said Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto was the founder of Pakistan’s nuclear power, adding that he accepted martyrdom but did not bow down. Benazir Bhutto also accepted martyrdom but did not allow Pakistan’s integrity to be compromised, he added.
Murad Ali Shah said Bilawal Bhutto took charge of the Foreign Ministry during a difficult period. He said the nation united when India cast an “evil eye” towards Pakistan.
He further urged people from all sections of society, including the youth, to remain united and condemned Israel’s atrocities against Palestinians.
