Two Lahore police personnel martyred in Badami Bagh firing

Two Lahore police personnel, Sub-Inspector Adeel and Constable Asad, were martyred in a suspected retaliatory attack in Badami Bagh.

LAHORE (Dunya News) - Two police personnel were martyred when unidentified motorcycle riders opened fire in the Badami Bagh area of Lahore.

According to police, Sub-Inspector Adeel and Constable Asad were killed in the firing. Both officers were posted at the Lari Adda Police Station.

Police said Sub-Inspector Adeel had killed a suspected dangerous shooter, Faizan Butt, in a police encounter some time ago. Faizan Butt’s brother, Rehan Butt, is also wanted by police and is considered a dangerous shooter.

According to police, Rehan Butt allegedly targeted Sub-Inspector Adeel and Constable Asad in retaliation for his brother’s death.

Police and forensic teams collected evidence from the crime scene, while the bodies of the two martyred officers were shifted to a mortuary for post-mortem examinations.
