PESHAWAR (Dunya News) – Police have detained a woman who allegedly threw acid on a young man in Chamkani over his reported refusal to marry her.
According to police, the woman named in the first information report (FIR) has been taken into custody. The suspect was also injured while allegedly throwing acid at the young man.
Police said the acid burns affected the suspect’s hands, feet and other parts of her body.
According to police, the suspect will be presented for remand and questioned after being discharged from the hospital.
Police officials said the woman allegedly attacked the young man with acid after he refused to marry her. A case over the incident was registered at Chamkani Police Station a day earlier.
