KARACHI (Dunya News) – Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah has said the Constitution of Pakistan offers the method of creating new provinces.
Talking to the media here on Tuesday, Murad Ali Shah said there was a method in the Constitution for creating a new province.
“A two-thirds majority in the provincial assembly is required to create a province. We are accused of having a different stance on Sindh and Punjab.
“A resolution for two new provinces has been passed in Punjab, but the matter is pending in the National Assembly, where a two-thirds majority is also required,” the Sindh CM said.
Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah said a decision had been made to form a judicial commission in the Mir Raza murder case.
“There were shortcomings in the murder investigation and medicolegal procedures. It is my job to correct the shortcomings wherever they occurred. I sent Zia Lanjar and Murtaza Wahab to meet Mir Raza's family,” the CM added.
